After being open a week now I can gladly say that I am happy with my new glass castle that protects me from the outside world.
Today a local artist came in to tell me all about his life. He simply wanted to sit in and have a coffee (thank god he could not) cause he was already chewing off my ear. It started like always, one talks about the virus and the fact that the poor traders are not able to trade the way they want to and then it usually ends with us ranting about the naughty Americans coming into the country and not isolating themselves. But this particular gentleman manged to make it all about himself. He went on to tell me that he wrote an essay about the Virus and even painted a picture, oh and also is in the process of applying for a grant to demonstrate some sort of work that is related to the covid situation.
It was a darn right pleasure to talk to this one. Or rather listen to his bla bla. After he also told me he had some health issues I told him to watch out as it would not be so good for him to catch it. He then went on to explain about the aerosol transmission stats and how some spit affects the area more than others. What a specialist.
He left promising me to bring his written essay the next time so I could read it. I cannot wait .......
My husband has been in the Book business for ever. We met, he fell in love with me, he provided me with books and I fell in love with him. Of course being a mom was my priority. I got to read all I wanted while being with our kids. Best deal ever. Over time I became more involved with the "front of house" This is what it is like being the Booksellers Wife.
